Our Expresso Chronograph combines Ebony Wood with Maple Wood 

Ebony Wood is a rare and valuable wood which comes from a tree that can take over one hundred years to mature. Prized for its intense dark color, it is the darkest natural wood available. It has a tight grain and can be polished to marble-like smoothness. It is so dense it actually sinks in water. Its rarity and color make for a prized possession intended to last a lifetime.

The sapwood of maple lumber is most commonly used rather than its heartwood. Sapwood color ranges from almost white, to a light golden or reddish brown, while the heartwood is a darker reddish brown. Silver Maple can also be seen with curly or quilted grain patterns. Grain is generally straight, but may be wavy. Has a fine, even texture. Common uses include veneer, paper (pulpwood), boxes, crates/pallets, musical instruments, turned objects, and other small specialty wood items.
